The arrest was made with the help of the National Crime Agency (NCA) after the man fled the UK knowing he was wanted in connection with the continual sexual abuse of his stepchildren, said to be aged under 13 and 14 years-of-age.

According to the authorities of the United Kingdom, the man would frequently visit the bedroom of the children and perform touches of a sexual nature on the children. After learning that he was being investigated, he fled to the coast of Alicante where he changed his appearance considerably to make it difficult to locate and arrest him.

However, Spanish police officers located and arrested him in Benidorm, where proceedings are now underway for his return to the UK and face 10 crimes of sexual assault.
