Folkestone officers detain chocolate thieves

Two chocolate thieves were detained by eagle eyed officers in Folkestone on Thursday 9 June.

The offence occurred on Sunday 29 May, when 30 large chocolate bars were stolen from a store inFoord Road, Folkestone to the value of nearly £50. The incident was captured on the store’s CCTV and shown to officers.

On Thursday 9 June, officers were in a meeting in Guildhall Street and saw the two offenders walk past their window. A 39-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from Folkestone were both quickly detained.

The offence was resolved by community resolution, whereby the offenders were made to apologise to the shop and owner and were then banned from the shop.
